Quentin Savwoir

Political Director

Quentin Savwoir hails from the heart of America, Kansas City, Missouri. As the son of a labor leader and a school administrator, Quentin witnessed firsthand how hard-working people are often overlooked and underserved.

He vowed from an early age to work to enhance the lives of folks like his parents. Quentin's civic and professional associations have been informed by his commitment to working to make the world a better place. Be it in the public, private, or nonprofit sector he has been an unrelenting advocate for measurably improving the lives of those in his community and families that look like his.

Quentin previously worked as the Project Director of the Out & Upfront Youth Leadership Program at Ruth Ellis Center. In this role, he led a cadre of 12 young people to advocate for an anti-bullying policy with the Detroit Public School Board, impacting the lives of students for generations to come.

Following, Quentin returned home, where he briefly worked in the private sector improving access to healthcare records for marginalized communities before serving as Special Assistant for Strategic Initiatives to Mayor Sly James of Kansas City. In this role, Quentin directly engaged communities throughout his hometown on best approaches to address challenges with public safety, public health, energy efficiency and transportation. As well, he served as acting board chair of the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund, a charitable cause benefitting underserved communities.

"As Political Director of Make It Work Nevada, I works alongside the strongest, bravest, most courageous women in Nevada to influence public policy that will help us ALL #GetFreeTogether, to me there is no greater calling."
