LaKyra January is the Director of Programs at Make it Work Nevada. She began her work at MIWN as the Organizing and Events Coordinator. Ms. January is a Las Vegas local and the proud mother of 4 boys. LaKyra is well-known in the Las Vegas community and has been an active member of several local organizations. Her work on the strategic planning team at the Wealthy Place Church, centers around the lives and wellbeing of the Black church family.

LaKyra's career trajectory has always centered around community care. Before joining MIWN, Ms. January was the Volunteer Service Coordinator for the Nevada Cancer Institute and a professional singer and praise leader.
